Distressing 911 Call Prior to Tragedy

Disturbing details have emerged regarding the final moments of Sara Gilson, a popular influencer who was found dead earlier this month. Reports indicate that emergency responders heard chilling sounds in the background of a 911 call placed from the influencer’s Oklahoma residence.

According to reports, an Owasso Police Department dispatcher described the harrowing scene while briefing first responders on Thursday, July 23. The call was initiated by a child residing at the property. The dispatcher noted, «I’m trying to reach him [the caller] back, but I could hear a female in the background screaming and crying. Some sort of loud bang in the background.»

Background of the Investigation

Sara Gilson, a 43-year-old hairstylist and social media personality, was found dead alongside her estranged husband, Shawn Duffey. Authorities suspect that Duffey killed Gilson before taking his own life. The tragic incident occurred just two weeks after Gilson publicly leveled serious accusations against him.

The Allegations and Legal Protections

On July 11, Gilson took to TikTok to address the state of her marriage with her 48-year-old husband. In a video that went viral, she alluded to discovering that Duffey was a pedophile. The influencer, who had a following of 69,000, captioned the video by stating, «Preparing for when Netflix drops a documentary about my soon-to-be ex-husband, who I just found out is a pedophile.»

Legal documents confirm that Gilson had taken steps to protect her family. On July 10, she was granted a protective order against Duffey on behalf of her 15-year-old daughter. According to reporting by The Oklahoman, the allegations centered on claims that Duffey had inappropriately touched and kissed the teenager, an act allegedly witnessed by another individual involved in her youth basketball team. The court order mandated that Duffey vacate the family home and maintain a distance of at least 100 yards from Gilson.
