Remembering James Barker
James Barker’s passing was officially addressed by Peacock on June 15. The executive producer, who began his journey with ITV America in 2020 before rising to a full-time leadership role on the hit reality series, tragically died in Fiji due to an "unexpected medical emergency."
In the wake of his death, his partner, Adam Roth, expressed his profound grief. In a statement, Roth remarked: «James was the absolute light and love of my life. He brought joy and brilliance to everything he touched.» The couple had been together for over four years after meeting at a Billie Eilish concert.
Supporting the Legacy
Madix encouraged fans of the show to support a GoFundMe initiative established in Barker’s memory. The funds are intended to cover memorial expenses and assist with his outstanding financial obligations. The production team also honored Barker previously on June 16, airing a touching photo montage with the simple, poignant message: "For James. We love you."
