Legendary actor Robert Wagner has marked a significant family milestone, sharing a rare photograph of himself alongside his daughter, Natasha Gregson Wagner, in honor of her 56th birthday. The 96-year-old star took to Instagram to express his deep affection for his daughter.
In his touching post, Wagner wrote: «Please join me in wishing a very Happy Birthday to my wonderful daughter, Natasha. Jill and I are so proud of the woman you are and the joy, laughter, and love you bring into our lives. We love you and wish you the happiest of birthdays.»
Family History and Bonds
Natasha, born in 1970, is the daughter of the late Natalie Wood and Richard Gregson. The connection between the Wagner and Wood families is complex and historic: Natalie Wood was married to Robert Wagner twice, first from 1957 to 1962, and again from 1972 until her untimely death in 1981.
Following the tragic drowning of Natalie Wood, Robert Wagner legally adopted Natasha. Wagner, who is also a father to 62-year-old Katie from his marriage to Marion Marshall, has been married to Jill St. John since 1990.
A Deep and Enduring Connection
Despite not being her biological father, Wagner developed an incredibly strong bond with Natasha in the years following her mother's passing. In a 2016 interview, Natasha spoke about how these circumstances shaped their relationship:
«I was so lucky I had two dads who were deeply committed to raising me and helping me through. I’m certain because my mom died, my relationship with my stepdad is way deeper than it would have been had she lived, because he had to be my mom and dad.»
