Tatum Responds to Online Allegations
Channing Tatum recently took to social media to address swirling rumors that he was operating a clandestine Instagram profile dedicated to mocking his former fiancée, Zoë Kravitz, and her current partner, Harry Styles. The actor expressed disbelief regarding the accusations, labeling the entire situation as highly amusing.
In an Instagram Story posted on Monday, September 21, the 46-year-old actor dismissed the claims, stating: “Yo I truly can’t believe y’all think this is what I’m doing with my free time. F*in hilarious.”
Tatum further questioned the logic behind the rumors, noting that if he were truly behind a burner account, he would hardly follow it from his primary profile. He emphasized his stance clearly, adding, “But if I really need to say it, I only have one IG account @channingtatum.”
The Origins of the Rumors
Speculation began when fans discovered that Tatum was the sole follower of an account named “Nonya Bidness,” which had been spotted leaving inflammatory comments under posts featuring Kravitz and Styles. The account had notably posted comments such as “just here for the hate.”
Evidence Points Away from the Actor
Despite the internet buzz, pop culture analyst Stephanie Tleiji, who manages the @stephwithdadeets account, provided insights suggesting the actor was not responsible. According to Tleiji, the account in question appeared to be a fan page that had recently rebranded.
Tleiji pointed to specific evidence to debunk the theory:
- The account owner had previously referenced having a birthday in June, whereas Tatum was born in April.
- When a follower directly asked the account if it belonged to the actor, the user behind the handle explicitly denied it, stating, “I’m not him.”
Following the public scrutiny, the “Nonya Bidness” account was deactivated. Tatum and Kravitz, who began dating in 2021 and were briefly engaged in 2023, ended their relationship a year later.
