The photographer behind the viral image of ex-Prince Andrew's arrest has revealed how he captured the historic moment. Phil Noble, a senior Reuters photographer, detailed his process in a video posted to the agency's Instagram.

Noble said he visited multiple police stations on the day of the arrest after learning the news. He had nearly given up and left one location when a colleague alerted him that cars had arrived. Returning immediately, he saw the garage shutters open and two vehicles depart, one containing Andrew.

In the half-hour prior, Noble took practice shots of other police vehicles to adjust his flash and camera settings. Despite this preparation, he credited luck for the final image, citing the many unpredictable elements like the car's exit route and Andrew's seating position. "The photo gods were on my side," he remarked.

The photo, showing the 66-year-old in the back of a police vehicle, spread rapidly online and was featured in numerous news reports about his arrest on misconduct allegations connected to his relationship with Jeffrey Epstein.
