A Whirlwind Engagement Proposal
In the latest episode of The McBee Dynasty: Real American Cowboys, Steven McBee Jr. stunned his family by announcing his intention to marry his girlfriend, Allie Eklund, only two weeks after their first in-person meeting. The 33-year-old reality star appeared incredibly confident in the relationship, telling his brother’s wife, Alli McBee, and his brother Cole’s long-term partner, Kacie Adkison, that he had already made up his mind about the future.
«You guys don’t know, I’m marrying this one. I called it from day one,» Steven stated, adding that the couple had been in constant communication since they first met. While his family remained skeptical, questioning whether such a fast-moving relationship could survive, Steven brushed off their concerns, arguing that long-term dating periods—like those of his siblings—were unnecessary when you have an immediate connection.
Family Skepticism and Sibling Rivalry
The announcement created palpable tension among the McBee family. Kacie Adkison, who has been in a seven-year relationship with Cole, questioned the logic of rushing into marriage after meeting the family for only a single hour. Steven, however, remained undeterred, even poking fun at the slow pace of his brother’s relationship with Kacie.
«If I’m damn sure about who I’m with, it’s not going to take me eight years to figure this out and put a ring on her finger,» Steven remarked during a conversation with his brother Cole. Although Cole admitted that the pace seemed extreme, he noted that he was already planning his own proposal to Kacie, which would eventually take place in late 2024.
The Aftermath: From Romance to Public Fallout
Despite the intense passion shown on screen, the relationship ultimately proved unsustainable. Six months after the events filmed for the series, the couple experienced a highly public and acrimonious split in April. Steven publicly accused Allie of infidelity during a music festival, leading to a series of digital confrontations and disparaging remarks shared on social media, for which Steven later offered an apology.
Reflecting on the collapse of the relationship, Steven recently shared his struggle with watching the show’s episodes. He admitted, «I don’t think you’re ever going to find full closure in a breakup. It’s hard to really look at it in a relationship where you thought you were going to end up engaged, married together for a long time, and then it literally ends overnight.»
