Joseph Savarino, the grandson of legendary former Duke University basketball coach Mike Krzyzewski, has been arrested and charged with driving while impaired. The charges stem from a fatal accident on April 18th in Durham, North Carolina, where his vehicle struck and killed 15-year-old Jack O'Shea.

Police reports indicate the collision occurred around 9 p.m. as both were traveling in the same direction. Savarino, 26, allegedly registered a blood alcohol content of .11 on a breathalyzer hours after the incident, exceeding the legal limit of .08. He was later released on $100,000 bail.

The victim's mother, Allison O'Shea, shared a heartfelt tribute on social media, describing her son as "perfect, smart, athletic, fearless and handsome." She noted his final day included attending church and playing baseball for his high school team.
