Reality television star Mama June is speaking out about a frightening new health diagnosis that has her deeply concerned for her future physical abilities. The 'Mama June: Family Crisis' star revealed the condition, while not life-threatening, could potentially leave her immobilized.
In an interview on the 'Virtual Reali-Tea' podcast, June, 46, explained, "We know it’s not ever gonna kill me, but it could immobilize me." This news follows a difficult period including an unexpected hysterectomy and the profound grief of losing her daughter Anna 'Chickadee' Cardwell to cancer in 2023.
The health scare initially led June to fear she had ovarian cancer. Her current mobility concerns are separate from menopause, which she is also navigating. This episode follows a chilling 2025 psychic warning, featured on her show, that predicted severe health risks from stress, which later led to an ER visit for pain caused by ovarian cysts.
June's struggles are compounded by ongoing family trauma, including her youngest daughter Alana 'Honey Boo Boo' Thompson's serious car accident in September. The family is also working to mend their relationship following past financial disputes, with June repaying some of Alana's earnings.
