A Family Night Out
Actor and director Justin Baldoni, alongside his wife Emily Baldoni, enjoyed a rare public outing this week. The couple, both 42, attended the inaugural 'Super Bowl Night' episode of Dancing With the Stars on Tuesday, October 13.
During the live broadcast, the pair was seen cheering in the ballroom, specifically showing their support after a tango performance by Maura Higgins, which drew inspiration from Rihanna’s 2023 halftime show. They were accompanied by their two children, 11-year-old Maiya and 8-year-old Maxwell.
Returning to the Spotlight
This appearance marks a notable return to public life for the Baldoni family, who had largely retreated from the public eye following a complex legal situation involving Justin and his It Ends With Us co-star, Blake Lively. The dispute concluded in May with an out-of-court settlement regarding harassment allegations, which included a court order for Baldoni to cover a portion of Lively’s legal expenses.
Reflecting on Recent Challenges
Addressing the difficulties surrounding the lawsuit previously, Baldoni noted the gravity of the situation, acknowledging that "painful things have been spoken into existence." Despite the public scrutiny, he expressed gratitude toward his supporters during that period:
«I think we’re closer and more devoted and steadfast in our faith than we’ve ever been. Also... there were so many of you who, when we didn’t have a voice, were our voice. ... So many of you had discernment and you used your intuition and you trusted that, and you have given your time to fight for us.»
The director emphasized that the support from friends, family, and fans was instrumental in helping them navigate the controversy.
