Professional dancer Jan Ravnik has clarified why fans won't see him on the upcoming Dancing With the Stars live tour. The 31-year-old performer explained that participating in the nationwide run is simply not in his plans for the immediate future.
Focusing on New Commitments
Speaking exclusively after the show's "Mariah Carey Night," where he performed a jazz routine alongside partner Tatyana Ali, Ravnik noted that he has other professional obligations. "That’s not in my stars," Ravnik stated regarding his absence from the tour, adding simply that he is "busy with stuff."
Despite his decision not to join, Ravnik expressed support for his colleagues, remarking, "We have incredible dancers who are going on tour."
Tour Details and Notable Absences
The upcoming production, directed by Mandy Moore, promises to be an extensive event, visiting 60 cities across North America with a concluding date scheduled for April. While fans are eager for the show, several other familiar faces will also be sitting out the tour.
Alongside Ravnik, the roster will notably lack:
- Mark Ballas
- Witney Carson
- Daniella Karagach
- Pasha Pashkov
For the married duo of Karagach and Pashkov, the break is a necessary step to focus on their family life. Karagach explained that after bringing their three-year-old daughter, Nikita, on three previous tours, they felt it was time for a respite. "We haven’t had a break, and I think this is the time to just inhale each other and go for a vacation in December or something," she shared. However, she hinted at the possibility of making brief guest appearances throughout the tour.
