Former X Factor Malta contestant Amber Woods has publicly shared her difficult journey after being diagnosed with stage 4 pancreatic cancer at just 25 years old. For months, doctors attributed her severe symptoms, including acid reflux and shortness of breath, to minor issues before delivering the life-altering news.

Woods first felt unwell last spring, but her concerns were repeatedly dismissed. "I really don't feel like this is normal," she recalled. After nearly eight months, tests revealed the cancer, which had also spread to her liver. "I'm in shock. What do you mean? This can't be right," she described her reaction.

Now under the care of an oncologist at Stanford, Woods has begun chemotherapy treatment. She is focusing on staying positive, advocating for early cancer detection, and continuing her music. She has also started a separate social media account to document her journey and raise awareness.
