Public Response to the New Romance
Catalina White, the estranged wife of The Challenge star Chris ‘CT’ Tamburello, has broken her silence following reports that he is dating reality television personality Phaedra Parks. The news of the couple's relationship comes two years after their initial flirtation during the second season of The Traitors.
On Saturday, September 5, the 40-year-old White took to social media to comment on a news post regarding the pair's relationship, writing: “Sign the papers 👏👏👏.” This remark appeared to be a pointed message directed at Tamburello, highlighting the ongoing delays in finalizing their divorce settlement, which has been in negotiation throughout the year.
Details of the Ongoing Divorce
Legal documents indicate that the divorce process has been protracted. In a court filing, Tamburello requested to retain his non-marital and pre-marital assets, while seeking an equitable resolution from the court. The couple had previously been ordered to submit financial affidavits but requested a 30-day extension due to scheduling conflicts.
Lawyers for the couple explained the delay in a joint petition, stating:
“The parties are currently negotiating a marital settlement agreement that contains an agreed waiver of exchanging and filing Financial Affidavits. The settlement agreement is on its final stages, however, the Respondent/Husband is out of town filming a reality show in which he has very limited contact with his counsel.”
The attorneys noted that they anticipate the settlement will be finalized shortly, once Tamburello is able to maintain consistent communication with his legal representation.
White’s Perspective on the Future
Despite the tensions surrounding the legal proceedings, White has previously expressed a desire to move forward gracefully. In an interview with Where Is the Buzz in August, she stated her intent to wish her estranged husband the best, noting that she prefers to keep the details of their relationship and separation private out of respect for the legal process.
Reflecting on her personal journey, White shared:
“I’ve worked incredibly hard for what I have, and I’m proud of that. This has never been about money for me. My focus is simply on moving forward, continuing to build my business, being there for my family, and embracing the next chapter of my life with positivity.”
Tamburello was previously married to Lilianet Solares, with whom he shares a 10-year-old son, while Parks shares two sons with her former husband, Apollo Nida.
