Uncertainty Surrounding Cast Continuity
The future of the cast for the potential fifth season of Sullivan’s Crossing remains uncertain as another actor weighs her options. Amalia Williamson, known for her role in the series, recently addressed rumors regarding her return to the show.
In an exclusive conversation, the 26-year-old actress admitted that her participation in a prospective fifth season is not guaranteed. Currently, Williamson is starring in the Acorn TV series You’re Killing Me alongside Brooke Shields, a show that has officially been renewed for a second season.
Scheduling Conflicts and Career Aspirations
Williamson explained that her availability is largely dictated by the production timeline of her current project. “It depends on when we film our second season,” she noted. “I don’t know. I would love to go back. I love my Sullivan’s Crossing family. I miss them.”
Changes in the cast have become a recurring theme for the show, which previously navigated the absence of Scott Patterson’s character, Sully. Show creator Roma Kohan has previously acknowledged that these departures necessitate shifts in onscreen dynamics, noting that the void left by certain characters has allowed for the introduction of new, compelling figures within the story.
Focusing on 'You’re Killing Me'
While Williamson considers her future on Sullivan’s Crossing, she remains enthusiastic about her current role in You’re Killing Me. The series, set in a picturesque New England town, follows a bestselling novelist and an aspiring podcaster who team up to solve a murder mystery.
Describing the project as a “dream role,” Williamson highlighted the collaborative nature of her character, Andi, and the team dynamics within the show. “Allie is the people person where she gets the interviews and she finds out what people tick and she’s the motive queen. Then Andi is the forensics and Jack — who is played by Tom Cavanagh — so they need each other,” she explained.
As fans look ahead to the potential return of Sullivan’s Crossing, Kohan has expressed support for Williamson’s career growth, regardless of whether she reprises her role in the upcoming season.
