A Partnership Built on Mutual Support
MMA icon Ronda Rousey and her husband, former UFC heavyweight Travis Browne, have long served as one another's primary pillars of support throughout their various professional journeys. Since exchanging vows in 2017, the couple has built a family together, welcoming their daughters, La’akea Makalapuaokalanipō Browne, in 2021, and Liko’ula Pā’ūomahinakaipiha, in 2025.
Reflecting on her transition from professional fighting to motherhood, Rousey noted in 2026: «Man, I have infinite energy for my kids and not as much for myself. It’s so much easier to dig deep for your kids and your family than it is for yourself. I have an extra reserve of something that is infinite for them.»
Travis Browne’s MMA Career
Travis Browne carved out a notable path in the world of professional fighting. His standout performances in 2013 earned him both the Breakthrough Fighter of the Year and Comeback of the Year honors at the World MMA Awards. Following a successful career, the heavyweight transitioned into retirement in 2017. Ronda Rousey, meanwhile, rose to superstardom after her 2011 debut, eventually being inducted into the UFC Hall of Fame in 2018.
Family Life and Parenthood
In addition to their two daughters, Browne is a father to two sons, Keawe and Kaleo, from a previous relationship. The family environment is deeply influenced by the couple’s background in combat sports. Rousey shared that their daughter Pō has taken an interest in the gym, even expressing a desire to learn jujitsu. The couple has expressed a strong desire to continue expanding their family, with Rousey noting in 2026 that she and Browne are looking to have more children, as she finds professional pursuits less compelling than the time spent with her family.
Life at Browsey Acres
Beyond the cage, the couple has embraced a sustainable, rural lifestyle at their Oregon property, affectionately known as Browsey Acres. On their ranch, the pair manages a variety of livestock, including chickens and cows. The move to the farm was a intentional shift toward the sustainable lifestyle they had long envisioned, focusing on self-sufficiency and animal husbandry.
