Weather Concerns Force Cancellation
Country music sensation Morgan Wallen has officially canceled his second scheduled performance at Acrisure Stadium in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. The 33-year-old singer announced the decision on Saturday, June 6, via his social media channels, citing safety as his primary motivation.
Wallen explained the situation, stating, «After talking with local officials and my team, there is no choice but to cancel tonight’s show due to severe adverse weather conditions expected throughout the rest of the day and night.» He further emphasized that the wellbeing of his crew and supporters remains his top priority. Fans were advised that refunds are available at the point of purchase.
The cancellation followed warnings from local meteorologists, who had predicted scattered thunderstorms in the Pittsburgh area throughout the day of the planned event.
Previous Technical Issues and On-Stage Outburst
This event follows a highly publicized incident that occurred just over a week prior at Empower Field at Mile High in Denver, Colorado. During that concert, Wallen was captured on video flipping over a piano on stage, seemingly reacting to persistent technical malfunctions.
According to footage shared online, the artist appeared to struggle with his in-ear monitors, unable to hear the piano during his performance of the song «Sand In My Boots.» Unable to resolve the technical failure, he performed the track a cappella. Following the backlash, Wallen addressed the situation in a video posted to TikTok, mockingly tapping the piano keys and saying, «Hey, I just want you guys to know that right now the piano is working. That’s what they told me last night, too.»
Mixed Fan Reactions
The singer's aggressive reaction to the technical difficulties sparked a wide range of responses from the public. While some fans appreciated his direct response to the situation, with one user writing, «I love seeing you clap back,» others were less forgiving regarding his conduct.
Critics pointed to his history of controversial behavior, with some social media users suggesting he seek professional help for anger management. These comments often referenced past legal troubles, including a 2020 arrest for public intoxication and disorderly conduct in Nashville, charges for which he was later cleared and for which he had previously issued an apology.
