A New Chapter in Marriage
Following their wedding in February 2025, Welcome to Plathville star Lydia Plath, 22, shared insights into her married life with 24-year-old husband Zac Wyse. During a recent episode of the series, Lydia caught up with her friend and bridesmaid, Mariah, to reflect on their transition into life as a married couple.
Lydia expressed that the experience has been incredibly positive, noting that they are both in the process of discovering what marriage means to them. She emphasized that Zac was intentional about ensuring she felt comfortable throughout their physical journey as newlyweds.
Establishing Comfort and Intimacy
According to Lydia, Zac was very supportive leading up to their wedding, offering her the space to move at her own pace. She recalled him saying:
«If you want to wait a week, you know, and enjoy a week of kissing and making out and warming up to each other before we do anything else we can. I’m here to serve you.»
Lydia credited her husband for creating a "safe place" for her. When asked by her friend whether they opted to wait a full week, Lydia laughed and admitted they did not wait that long. While she chose not to disclose specific details of their wedding night, she described the experience as "beautiful, perfect, and God-centered."
Overcoming Past Challenges
Lydia admitted that she felt a surprising level of comfort with Zac from the very first day. This openness comes after the couple faced significant scrutiny from Lydia's family during their courtship, particularly regarding their decision to save their first kiss for their wedding day. While her brother, Ethan Plath, and other family members were initially critical of their choices, they eventually apologized for their skepticism.
Reflecting on her current outlook, Lydia shared how intimacy has transformed their relationship:
«There’s just such a beauty in sex and intimacy with your spouse. It breeds so much deeper connection of joy and love. It’s literally life-giving; it brings life into the world, but it also brings life into your marriage.»
The reality star expressed that she is genuinely happy with their private life together, noting that she has discovered new sides of herself that are meant solely for her husband.
