The Apology Tour Following Controversial Claims
Jennifer Fessler has spoken out regarding a recent series of events sparked by Summer House star Ciara Miller. Miller had publicly alleged that the The Real Housewives of New Jersey personality had engaged in a sexual encounter with West Wilson. Following the circulation of these rumors, Fessler revealed that Wilson took proactive steps to address the situation.
“West did reach out and apologize profusely and called and apologized to my husband and kids,” Fessler, 55, shared exclusively on Friday, June 5, while attending the Race to Erase MS Gala in Los Angeles. She clarified that the apology was directed at her husband, Jeff Fessler, and their two children, Zachary and Rachel. However, Fessler noted a distinct absence of remorse from the initial accuser: “But no, I haven’t gotten an apology [from Ciara]. But who cares at this point? It’s so stupid and not true.”
Origins of the Allegation
The controversy began on May 8, when Ciara Miller took to Threads to make the claim after Fessler defended Wilson amid his complicated split from castmate Amanda Batula. Miller wrote, “Lol, because they slept together too,” in response to Fessler’s comments. Both Wilson and his representatives were quick to deny the accusation, with a source labeling the remark as a “silly allegation” that was “absolutely not true.”
Fessler’s Stance on Defamation
Shortly after the rumors went viral, Fessler addressed the matter via Instagram Stories. She emphasized the seriousness of spreading unverified information, stating:
«In all seriousness, and while I can’t help but be a little flattered, it is not nice nor is it OK to post something categorically untrue and defamatory on social media. Regardless of whatever rumors or apparent ‘evidence’ led you to that conclusion, that is the definition of libel.»
She concluded her statement by hoping for a resolution, noting that because the claim was entirely fabricated, it carried unnecessary complications.
Moving Forward
Reflecting on the impact of the drama, Fessler revealed that her personal connection to the Summer House cast has effectively ended. Regarding her husband's reaction to the bizarre rumor, she shared that he was largely unfazed. “Everything was always well. He laughed at it. He laughed too much, I started to get a little pissed, like, ‘It’s not that funny, Jeff.’ But it really was so stupid. And I don’t know, maybe one day we’ll get an apology. We’ll see,” she concluded.
