Tragic Discovery in Mechanicville

Brady Harmon has released the last text messages sent by his ex-wife, Sarah Myers, shortly before she and her mother, Amy Steadman, allegedly took the lives of their four children in a murder-suicide. The incident occurred at a residence in Mechanicville, New York, where authorities discovered the bodies of Harper (13), Hudson (11), and twins Gavin and Gracelyn (10). According to reports, Gavin suffered fatal stab wounds, while investigators believe the other three children were poisoned.


The Final Interaction

Harmon explained on social media that he had a video call scheduled with his children on the day of their deaths. However, the call never took place. Harmon revealed that Myers had reached out to him claiming the children were unwell. In a screenshot of the message shared by Harmon, Myers wrote:

«The kids have gotten a little stomach bug throwing up is it okay to switch your online visit to tomorrow night at 4 p.m. your time please»

Following this message, Harmon attempted to contact Myers multiple times to check on the children but received no response.


Addressing False Allegations

In his post, Harmon addressed a suicide note purportedly written by Steadman, which claimed the act was committed to “protect” the children from their father. Steadman and Myers had previously accused Harmon of abuse, allegations he has consistently and strongly denied.

“I cannot understand how anyone could claim that this was done to ‘save’ my children from harm,” Harmon wrote. “The greatest possible harm was done to them. They were terrified, betrayed, and robbed of their lives by the very people who were supposed to protect them.”


A Plea for Truth

Harmon also shared records of previous conversations with his ex-wife, which included discussions about travel plans and child support. He noted that these exchanges gave no warning that such a catastrophic event was being planned. The father expressed his belief that the children were on the verge of reuniting with him, stating, “They would have experienced the loving side of their family they had been separated from and taught to fear.”

Concluding his message, Harmon vowed to keep the memory of his children alive:

  • “I will continue speaking their names, telling their story, and fighting for the full truth about what happened to them.”
