Tech billionaire Elon Musk has publicly confirmed that his venture into politics was directly influenced by the transition of his daughter, Vivian Wilson. The acknowledgment came during a brief exchange on the social media platform X, formerly known as Twitter.
On Sunday, May 31, an X user posted a comment suggesting that without the personal situation surrounding Wilson, Musk would not have felt compelled to enter the political sphere or purchase the platform. The post stated: «We should never forget that if not for Vivian, Elon Musk never would have gotten involved, never would have purchased Twitter, Kamala Harris would be President and the Left-wing would have total instrumental control over the construction of Skynet.»
In response to this assertion, Musk kept his answer brief and direct, replying, «True.»
The Strained Relationship
The relationship between Musk and his 22-year-old daughter has been distant for years. Wilson, who has been estranged from her father since 2020, has spoken openly about her upbringing, describing it as a «very strange experience» and an isolating period in her life. She noted that she has moved on from the dynamic, stating:
«There’s not much I can do about it, so who cares? It’s part of my story, but it’s not the future of my story.»

I can afford food. I have friends, a shelter and some expendable income, which is nice and much more fortunate than most people my age in Los Angeles,» she stated.
