Concerns Over Nathan Gallagher’s Return

In a recent interview, Below Deck Mediterranean star Joe Bradley expressed strong reservations regarding his co-star Nathan Gallagher’s decision to return to the hit Bravo series. While Bradley acknowledges the financial pressure Gallagher faces as a new father, he believes the environment of the show is not suitable for him right now.

“I love the fact that he’s a working man and he fights for his family,” Bradley stated. “I admire that as much as I don’t like him. I admire fighting for your family.” However, Bradley believes that trying to manage his professional duties while raising a newborn with girlfriend Gael Cameron is creating an overwhelming situation for Gallagher. He noted, “He should not be there. It’s detrimental. You might think to yourself, ‘Oh, it’s only six weeks.’ But those six weeks feel like nine months.”

Strained Relationship and On-Screen Conflict

The tension between the two is clear, with Bradley confirming that the pair has maintained “absolutely no” contact since filming wrapped. When asked about their dynamic, Bradley shared a personal anecdote: “He did message me when I was in Australia, but I didn’t answer him back so he can taste his own medicine.”

Bradley feels that the show’s editing finally captures Gallagher’s true personality, which he described as frustrating to work with. According to Bradley, Gallagher has a tendency to switch moods unexpectedly. “The fact that he can just switch is so alarming to me,” Bradley explained. “He’s generally got anger issues and you hopefully throughout the season you will discover what Nathan has to offer in terms of who he is.”

Joe Bradley’s Personal Growth

Looking toward his own development, Bradley emphasized that viewers will see a more mature version of him this season. He noted that he is prioritizing his work over the romantic entanglements that defined his previous appearances.

“You will see a level of growth this season because I felt it. You will see that I’m comfortable in my own skin on board,” Bradley said. “I’m taming it down in my romantic life on board to just being one person. I don’t need to be greedy anymore. I’ve had my fun and I’m just ready to get the job done.”

Bradley also took the opportunity to reflect on his past behavior, specifically regarding his previous relationship with Victoria. He expressed a desire to apologize, noting that he could have handled the situation with more maturity. Ultimately, Bradley is focused on proving his critics wrong and staying professional as the current season of Below Deck Med continues to unfold on Bravo.
