With the milestone 30th season of The View set to premiere on September 8, cohost Ana Navarro is being open with her audience about her decision to skip her regular beauty upkeep. In a video shared on Instagram this past Saturday, the 54-year-old commentator admitted that she has taken a significant hiatus from her grooming routine.

“The View begins September 8 and here’s the problem, I have done no self-grooming or self-care for almost a month and a half,” Navarro explained to her followers. “So, I’m asking you for a little grace and time to get myself together, like, maybe give me a week after I go on live TV.”

The Reality of a Natural Break

Navarro didn't shy away from pointing out exactly what she meant by her “natural” look, providing a humorous breakdown of her beauty to-do list that she hasn't managed to address.

“You see this? This is gray hair that I haven’t been able to color. You see these eyebrows? They are like the tails of squirrels, I have not had them plucked or waxed in over a month. You see these nails? There’s, like … a half inch growth going on here that I haven’t been able to take care of,” she said.

She further noted that she had bypassed other routine maintenance, adding: “Upper lip … Botox … lip filler … none of this is happening. This is how I’m going to go on TV [on] September 8. I am just forewarning you.”

Navarro concluded her message by asking for the audience's patience as the daytime program kicks off its landmark season. “Cut me some slack. What you see is what you get. Take a little time to enjoy the natural view,” she remarked.
